This procedure also known as a nose job can enhance and define your nose using surgical procedures with or without a nasal implant to provide you with the look you want. This surgical nose surgery procedure can be used to correct a deviated septum, refine the shape of the nose, make the nostril base a bit narrower, augment areas of the nose to create balance, and overall improve its appearance and proportion. Your Board Certified Surgeon Dr. Taneja has had excellent results, and we would love to show them to you.
Great Rhinoplasty Candidates
The ideal candidates for Rhinoplasty are people that do not or no longer smoke and are not diabetics, or have any medical conditions that will adversely affect the healing process. We will also assess to make sure the candidates are in good mental condition and understand what a nose job entails. We will also ask you if you have had a nose job or nose surgery previously; because if you are seeking a procedure for revision, you may need to wait depending on when your surgery was.
Nose Job Procedures at our OC or LA Clinic
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure using one of two methods. One method referred to as an approach is: the Closed Approach: Rhinoplasty procedure known as Endonasal Rhinoplasty, and the other is the Open Approach: Rhinoplasty procedure known as External Rhinoplasty.
Endonasal Rhinoplasty involves doing the surgical procedure inside the nostrils using narrow surgical openings. The framework of the nose is worked on internally, thus leaving no visible scars.
External Rhinoplasty uses a small incision on a small flap of skin known as the columella to connect the right and left nostril incisions. During the procedure the nasal skin is lifted to reveal the nasal framework in entirety and your Surgeon then works on correcting the areas needed for correction. A silicone nasal implant or cartilage may be used if the Dr. feels that will enhance the appearance of your nose. This procedure will show minimal visible scarring but offers full visibility of the nose and has great results as well.
Once your surgical procedure is expertly done, your nose job will be complete and your plastic surgeon will close the incisions and bandage your nose.
Recovering from Your Nose Surgery Procedure
After your nose surgery procedure, you will experience visible bruising and swelling. Most of the swelling will go down in two weeks but for full recovery, it can take up to a year. Any type of surgical procedure requires healing, so this is completely normal, and you will be able to show off your beautiful nose in no time.
