The Four Types of Facelifts
The all encompassing type is the full facelift is also referred to as the traditional facelift. The incisions are made behind the hair line and in natural folds to hide their appearance once the healing process is completed.
The lower facelift concentrates on the removal of excessive skin in the jowls and jaw line. Also removed are the deep wrinkles between the nose and corner of the mouth.
The mid facelift is sometimes referred to as a cheek lift. This procedure concentrates on the cheekbone area and removes the excessive skin and fatty deposits that have formed a puffy section under the eyes. This type of facelift takes years off of your overall appearance.
The mini facelift is for you if the only locations you want wrinkles to be removed are from the mid face and neck. This is the procedure favored by the younger patients who want to offset the early signs of aging before they are too pronounced.
