During the recovery, the eyes will be swollen for about two days where cold compresses should be applied. From that point until about a week later the swelling will noticeably decrease on a daily basis. During this period, it is recommended that you avoid the use of makeup and the wearing of contact lenses. This will speed up the recovery.
